Rackly ("the App") is developed by PowerSloth Apps ("we", "us"). This page explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built the App to work almost entirely on your device, and this policy reflects that: there is no user account, no server-side database of your games, and no analytics tracking your activity.
The following is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us:
This data is removed automatically when you uninstall the App. We have no copy of it and cannot access, recover, or delete it on your behalf.
The board-scanning feature asks for camera and photo library permission so you can capture or select a photo of a physical letter-tile board. That image is processed entirely on your device: perspective correction and letter recognition run locally using an on-device model, and the board corners are placed by you, not detected on a server. Photos are never uploaded to us or to any third-party server. Camera and photo access are only requested when you use the scanning feature, and you can decline or revoke them at any time in your device settings without losing any other functionality.
The App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob (part of Google's Mobile Ads / Play Services). To do this, Google's SDK may collect and process data such as your advertising identifier, IP address, and general device information, in order to deliver and measure ads. In regions where consent is required (currently the EEA and UK), we show Google's consent form before requesting any ad, and whether personalized or non-personalized ads are shown depends on the choice you make there.
Google's own privacy practices for advertising are described at policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads. We do not receive or store the data Google's SDK collects for ad delivery; it goes directly between your device and Google.
The App offers an optional one-time purchase to remove ads. Purchases are made through Google Play and are validated and managed for us by RevenueCat, a purchase management service. RevenueCat receives your purchase history (the product purchased, price, and purchase date) and an anonymous identifier used to validate and restore your purchase, for example if you reinstall the App or switch devices. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment card details, those are handled directly by Google Play.
RevenueCat's own privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com/privacy.
| Service | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob / Google Play Services | Displaying banner ads | Advertising identifier, IP address, device info, ad consent choice |
| RevenueCat | Processing and validating the optional Remove Ads purchase | Purchase history, anonymous purchase identifier |
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad requests are not tagged as child-directed.
Beyond the ad and purchase data described above, the App itself stores nothing about you outside your own device. The primary things you control are: the camera/photo permission (device settings), your ad consent choice (Settings → Ad Privacy Options in the App), your purchase (Settings → Restore Purchases in the App), and your local game data (cleared by uninstalling the App). If you are in the EEA, UK, or another region with data protection rights and have questions about data Google's ad SDK or RevenueCat processes, their policies linked above describe how to exercise those rights directly with them.
If what the App collects or how it's used changes, for example if we add a new feature that talks to a server, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
